I think thinner sponge is part of the formula, as is a slow, oversized blade.

If you don't loop on the backhand and only smash instead, you could try using short pips

The Chet has always had LP backhand all the time I've seen

I play this way and have been learning to do so for a while. I try to model my game on Satoshi Aida.

As you climb the grades, it becomes harder and harder to chop fast and heavy topspin loops with double inverted... certainly possible though. If you don't want to go with pimples, antispin is always an option, that's an inverted rubber.

Do you mean you, personally, started playing table tennis, or do you mean you just started up a club at your school? Either way, good for you! If the former, my advice would be to find a club and a coach, or at the very least, watch a bunch of YouTube videos. On table tennis, that is (not Flat Earth.. ). Equipment wise.. get one of these things:
