Look! Christmas comes early this year... Hohoho!!!

I got an olympic t-shirt and... Hurricane 3 Provincial 41 degree on Sponge #19 as promised... Hurraaaaahhh!!!

Front before cutting.

Back. Notice the extra red stamp on the edge of the rubber. This is something new I've seen. Don't know whether all will have this or just that this rubber happened to be the one with stamp on it. I will ask my other uncle who's getting one as well.

Back after cutting.

Side by side with H3P 39 degree on sponge 20 (no glue on the H3P41 yet, while H3P39 with layers of rubber cement on it already).

Please note that the colors rendering might not be correct due to improper lighting and white balance setup (photography term).

Hurraaaah!!!

After being fixed onto the Hurricane King.

H3P 41 degree on 19:
Weight before cutting (with film still on): 65.85g
Weight after cutting (with film still on): 49.85g
Weight after cutting (with film taken off): 48.95g

H3P 39 degree on 20 (with several layers of rubber cement): 46.45g

I was expecting lighter weight, but I guess this about right considering the difference on hardness.

Harder = more mass = more weight

Also, the comment about new sponge 19 being lighter is also due that it comes out with softer 36-37 degree so the 41 is of course heavier, right? Wink

Anyway, weighing both rubbers with HK totaled to about 185g, still doable on my account. So sometime later I'll be trying the setup with both H3P on at the same time for direct comparison. Probably Sunday/Monday because I'll have training tomorrow so I'm fixing the Tokyo 2 on the HK at the moment (with new H3P).

I added the weight and some comments on above post.
I glue with 1 layer of rubber cement as I do now since I left speed gluing behind awhile back.

I'll probably comment about the the differences compared to H3P 39 #20 later on... :P

Rok, do you reckon there is anything special that happens when you put H3 rubber with the HK that the two are made for each other? Or do you think its just rubbers and blades and you happen to like both? I have a sheet of H3 std which I have never put on the HK as I have too many other rubbers I like better. I'm find I can't go past the Tango on it TBH. Have you tried a tensor on yours?

Probably the later because I like my H3P on HK, Ignito, Amadeus, Aria, 3008 (1 ply), and Prashida Hinoki Carbon Magnetic (my brother's blade, which i tried last wednesday night). I play with regular H2 & H3 with good results also on my HWL & Jonyer. Why I use it as my primary? Cause I had to choose something on more permanent basis for my training sessions.

I haven't tried tensor yet on the HK. Closest one to tensor I tried with Bryce Speed FX. But I happened not to like bsfx on several blades I tried... Good/great for looping/hitting off table but I bad (for me) for on the table play. Will try again in a few weeks. I'm also waiting for the Zeta to be available here. Next week said the xiom dealer. I've been saving mulah for zeta for a few weeks now.

Also, Tokyo 2 is a rubber which is close to bsfx, so might be comparable to tensor. I don't know. Tokyo 2 I got is made in Japan then sent to Germany for tuning. Or so they said. Great rubber! It's the opposite of H3P. H3P wins on spin, Tokyo2 wins on speed but with very good spin. Thus I sometime flips my rubbers playing with certain players.

Well there has to be something really good about H3P to justify the high pricetag!!

Try Tango if you get a chance and let me know what you think. I find it is nice for spinny softer loops but also generates heaps of power on full force smashes.

Well, for the price of $0, it's certainly amazing!!!
Dunno about Tango, Reb. Cause the price for Tango is a bit less than the price for Zeta so I'm still going for Zeta. Tango isn't cheap here, otherwise I would have tried one a long time ago. Also not that easy to get, the other variants are more easily found albeit more expensive....
